So...we were at the library yesterday and for some reason they handed out these papers that have a picture of lips on them for kids to color, write the name of their favorite book on it, and bring it back to hang up on their bulletin board. Lips really? I have no idea why lips? Do you? Anyways..the kids were in my hair and I was trying to do important things like blog and I told Jack to go color his lips. Thinking he would go and get the paper and color the paper. He was gone for a very long time and came back like this. Yes, colored his real lips with marker. Black that is. Thankfully it was a washable marker.
And the little man cried when we washed it off for church last night. He was quite proud of the coloring job and thrilled with the attention it gave him from our household alone.
Oh, and it turns out that the Dr. who preformed my tonsillectomy is giving 2 for 1 deals the month of January. If you had a tonsil job done in the last month a family member can get theirs out for free this whole month!! So we nominated Jack and he is getting his tonsils out next Wednesday, January 16th. What a deal!
Not really - but I did ask the Dr. for a 2 for 1 deal today. He laughed, but I was serious. The ENT (Ears, Nose, Throat) Dr. recommended surgery to remove Jack's tonsils and adnoids. Jack has trouble breathing through the narrow path of his throat. Even when he does not have strep his tonsils are very large. He also has had strep 3 times since November. So round 2- ding, ding, ding. Here we go again. Do I hear volunteers to bring in meals, Because I'm pretty sure I will be too busy to cook next week.

i love reading your blog cause you always make me smile!
Heather, I love the creative way you have Jack make his name. Wow, you really are mom of the year! Cheers! Love, Crystal
Thanks Wanita....
And Crystal thank you for your compliment...however the only reason he was doing that was because he was being such a burger and fighting with all of his siblings. So I made him sit by me while we were playing cards in Florida. He sat there and threw a fit until I told him to stop talking, then he finially started making things with cards. There you have the rest of the story. Cheers.
Love hearing from you....and thanks for making my day by leaving a comment. Sorry I had to get so mean with you the other day about leaving me a comment.
Love this story! Reminds me of Caedmon...taking things literally at this age...like keep your eye on the ball (as he puts the ball on his eye). :)
Sorry about the surgery, Jack...we'll be praying for you. Lots of ice cream for you!
