Also.....why can't they have Diet Pepsi Machines at the Doctor's office?

Poor thing. Poor mama. I just want her well. After a rough night again Sunday night....of little sleep and fussy pants Suzy.....I took her into the Dr. again on Monday. (yesterday)
Why of all places am I taking pictures at the Dr. office this time? Hummmmm....let me see maybe to pass the time since I waited over an hour to see the Dr. Don't get me wrong I was thankful to have an appointment. And thankful I had a camera to pass the time since I had finished all the hors'devours and had also watched all the in-room free movies. Oh, I kid.
But these things need to be seriously considered when building a new office building being used for a Dr. office. And just ask me...I have more ideas for the waiting room.
So after seeing the Dr. the report is in. An ear infection, bronchitis, and a urinary tract infection just for fun. How can someone so little have so much wrong?

But it was a relief to me, to know there were real things wrong with her. To explain all the neediness was a relief. I was exhausted from all the fussing. You know you have a sick one on your hands when you have to take your one year old with you and she has to sit on your lap while using the facilities. Either that or hear all the crying, the pitiful crying. You also know she's sick when you try to butter toast with one hand while holding the needy one in the other arm. And if you have someone under 2 in your home you understand me perfectly at this point, do you not?

So later that night, after Donovan's help...a bath and supper I was renewed. Full of sympathy, compassion, and tenderness for the little needy baby.

I'm not sure why these 2 were allowed to get this close to each other without a mask, a sterile gown, and sterile surgical gloves.

But it sure was a nice sound to hear giggling rather than crying.

ouch!

Don't let that smile fool you....She has thrown up 3 times today.

And this one has thrown up too many times to even count. Note: Jack's bucket within arms reach. Too bad he could'nt make the bucket every time. (for instance at 1:30 this morning when he threw up all over the couch and carpet.)

And yep, William too. Three out of four of our people are creating alot of laundry for their parents.

Last night we took the kids to Donovan's parents for them to babysit and while we were still getting coats off William and Jack were messing around someone got pushed and landed right smack dab againt the wooden banister on the steps. Right at first William was very still and in alot of pain. We were trying to figure out if he needed stitches or not. We decided not, and then tried to figure out should we still go on our date? After about an hour William got up and went to go play with grandma's trucks and cars....so we decided he was feeling good enough to play- He will be o.k. And he was in good hands. We were planning using a gift card to go to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, and enjoying a leisurely dinner. But instead of taking the time.....We went on a smaller version of our date and went my ol' favorite standby....Carrabba's Italian Grill. We had a nice time....but a sweet little 3 year old was on our minds.

This was taken last night when we got home. He looks a little too happy to have such a bad cut...doesn't he?

And this picture was taken this morning. There is more swelling, but the cut is healing well.

Isabella had the flu on Wednesday this past week, so I figured someone else would get it too. I just was surprised the 3 youngest got it all on the same day. I am thankful Donovan is home to help and hopefully after the weekend we can be done with the flu. Instead of one getting it and then passing it around for several weeks. And I am thankful for our VCR/DVD player. I ran up town to the library this morning and checked out 324 movies so they will be set until at least Monday.

I know that everyone out there is breathlessly waiting for another post from your little blogger friend Heather...unfortunately she is currently completely out of commission so I felt the need to carry the torch with your daily update of conditions here at the ranch. The week started out with a little thing called a urinary tract infection - that's always fun. Now the week is ending with another round of severe strep infection, fever, and all around feeling like she got hit by the trash truck. That trash truck driver just lost his tip AND his Christmas bonus. So, with all the symptoms flying around and the death-warmed-over appearance coming from beneath the covers this morning I decided that it would be a great day to skip work and take my sicky-pants wife to the doctor. (Let me explain the "pants" thing. It's a little nickname game that we do here at the house. For instance, when Suzy has moisture in her diaper we call her "Soggy-pants Suzy"...or... you name it, we have a name for it...) So we made the trek to the doc who gave her a script for an antibiotic and promised that she would be better in no time. Lord knows he better be right because I don't think that I can handle all these duties 24/7. I will say that it makes me grateful for all that the wife does around the house to make our lives easier. I think that I will stick to the plan where I leave the cave, kill something, and drag it home routine and let Heather maintain sanity here on the homefront. That's a good plan if you ask me.
Many thanks to my dear Mother for taking the two youngest yesterday so Heather could sleep and I could work. And then she sent supper AND breakfast home with me when I picked them up! Unbelievable! And again today when I had to step out for a quick service call my sis-in-law stepped up and watched the kids for a few hours. Uncle Jon was home too and he had a timely assist with a "three-wiper" (in his words). Soggy-pants dropped a deuce on his watch if you were wondering. All in all it's been an interesting couple of days even with a sicky-pants taking up residence in the bedroom. Hopefully tomorrow she will be back in full swing and ready to keep you posted on the happenings around here. Peace out. D
