We had this siding picked out for about 2 years. "IF" we ever build again this is what we were going to do.
But then we saw this yesterday and we are having 2
nd thoughts......and O.k. well this is an office building...but you get the idea of the colors. Right? Which do you like better???
Please leave a comment and tell us what to do.

#1 has a more traditional look w/ the sage siding and dk grey roof. #2 has a bit of southern flavor w/ the tan roof paired w/ the cedar shakes.
what can i say they both look awesome!
you did such a great job w/ your last one i know it's going to be beautiful!
They are both awesome Heather! If it were my house, I would pick #1. #2 has a more cottagey/nautical feel to me, so I guess it just depends what kind of feel you are wanting.
I like both. But this summer we went for a boat ride and saw many homes with the blue and white, I fell in love at first site! I am not even much of a blue fan, but, it's definately a statement! They all had decorated with the red, white and blue theme and it just was beautiful!
They both look great. I would think #2 (the blue) would give more options for landscaping and provide more contrast with your plantings. The sage wouldn't provide much contrast with the majority of plants available...especially evergreens. Given that you're in a wooded lot and surrounded by green, I'd go with the blue.
I like #1, and I'm not a "green" peson. :) I think it's more subtle, and for me personally I would get tired of the brightness of the blue.
I like #1
I like both so the only solution I can come to would be this - COMBINE THE TWO! I have a blue and green striped sweater that I love and you could mimic it with your siding. I would also make sure that the siding runs vertically just to add a little flavor!
JUST KIDDING! I do not have a blue and green striped sweater!
LOVE #1, but then again I have a big obsession with the color green. :)
I'd say #1 too even though I LOVE that Dentist office in Elkhart! But, we don't have houses in the neighborhood the colors of the 1st option but we do have a blue house with those exact colors in neighborhood already! :) Your last house was adorable I'm sure this one will be too!!! Good luck! How fun!
I like the green best!
It would appear I am a bit conflicted. Although this may be true, the second "Ben Bontrager" was actually Jen.
I deff. like the blue house best. Although the green would probably be more unusual. :) -Cami
i love the blue!!
I love the green - but I'm a green person! Although the idea of doing Americana decor sounds lovely too... I'd still pick the green one though.. :)
Ok...I NEVER used to be a green person until you became one. I love the color of the 1st one! You should always go with your original thoughts! I totally know you and if you go with the blue you will wish you went with the green! You also have to think, as far as the landscaping that alot more flowers and such will go with the green other than the blue, because really what goes really well with that color of blue, it's very limited. That blue just doesn't trip any triggers!!! It does look like too much of an office color! GO GREEN!!!! :o)
Go green!!!!!
Go Green! Go White! Oh, wait, I'm not still at the MSU game. And it didn't help anyway, they lost! Um......I'm not sure. I like them both. It's true, the blue does have a nautical feel. I often think that a nautical feel not near water feels off. The green seems like you b/c I see green on your walls a lot in pix you've posted before. So.......either is good. Blue would be a change. Green is good too. I agree with lots of the comments above. Ben's helpful:) Either one would look great! See. Cheryl's helpful too. haha
i live in a blue house, i do not care for a blue house! :)
I love #1.....just saying! I would get tired of the blue then you'd have to move again in a few years! not!
Hey! I think #2 is a GREAT color. So, that is my vote!!
~Lily!!
I like the green look.
definitely the green!
Hey lady...here's my thoughts...I love them both...helpful huh?
But really, I think with your green cabinets and your love for the color you make like it better in the long run....paint a room the color blue because you can always change a painted room.
love ya....I hope we will make it this weekend...stuff has come up:(
I'll email you later.
I'm so glad you asked the question! It's more fun reading all these helpful tidbits of advice than it was to actually give you the advice! Aren't we "bloggers" just a strange group of people??? :)
Are you talking actual sideing or colors? Because in the first picture you mention sideing---anywho; as for colors: the blue is more of a trend right now & you would probably want to repaint in a couple of years; whereas the green is more classic, yet still unique. And if you were asking about sideing...def the first pic sideing---so different but timeless!
Definitely the green, very cute! I think it has more of a cottage feel to it!
You already know what my answer would be...GREEN!
I like the green better than the blue but it is such a soft shade that you don't get the high contrast with the white. What about a slightly deeper shade of green so the white pops more like it does off the dark blue?
